After a morning spent building up an appetite by exploring, head back to make the most of The Buffet with its 30-foot salad bar and homemade pizza station, or treat yourself to a ribeye steak at the TENDER steakhouse + lounge. The Luxor was originally built as an Egyptian themed hotel but later went through a modern remodel. Having just stayed at the Luxor recently, I chose to rebrand it. In this class, we were given the challenge of rebranding an existing Las Vegas hotel. There are dozens of restaurants and eateries within just a few moments’ walk of this Las Vegas hotel, but if you want to dine within the pyramid there are plenty of options to suit all tastes and pockets. In the summer of 2013 I took an Identity Systems class with instructor, Gloria Kondrup. There are also fascinating exhibitions held within the hotel, so you’ll certainly never be bored on-site. Plus, enjoy top-notch accommodations and impeccable customer service. The hotel itself boasts a large pool, and one of the largest pool decks in Vegas, so you can happily spend hours relaxing poolside or climb into a Jacuzzi to truly unwind. Even more awe-inspiring sights await inside, with the world’s largest open atrium.
Located almost at the most southern point of the Las Vegas Strip, you can head north to explore over five miles of flamboyant hotels, casinos, shops and restaurants. Towering over its surroundings, this huge black pyramid gleams like obsidian in the sun, and at night a beam of light shoots skyward from the top, so wherever in the city you are, you know exactly how to get back. Hotels simply don’t come any more jaw-dropping than the Las Vegas’s incredible Luxor Hotel & Casino.
